LDR ANNOUNCES
NEW BALANCE GRAND PRIX PURSE FOR 2008!

For the 2008 competitive season that will end on December 14, 2008, the top three in each age division will receive cash prizes. First place will be $200.00, second $125.00 and third will receive $100.00. The top three man and woman who place first, second and third overall will win their age division money and a bonus of $200, $125 and $100, respectively.

To qualify for the prize money, a runner must have completed a minimum of six grand prix races, with at least one in each of the three Categories.

Additionally, runners do not move up in place for prize money. For example, if a second place runner has completed only five races and does not qualify for a cash prize while the third place runner has met the criteria of winning prize money, third place still receives only third place prize money. Grand prix age divisions begin with the 14 to 34 age division for women and 16 to 34 for men, in accordance with national rules regarding long distance running competitions. The age divisions continue with 34 and under, 35 to 39, 40 to 44 and on up in five year increments.
